SUMMARY:IAYT SYTAR 2021 Plenary: Collaboration + Co-creation = Connection
DESCRIPTION:Online Registration\n\nSYTAR IS ON (VIRTUALLY) June 17-20\, 2021\, and Amy will be giving a Plenary talk.\nCollaboration + Co-Creation = Connection \nIn the specialized field of yoga therapy\, we sometimes feel we need to know it all. Can we instead relax into the knowledge that we don’t have to know it all\, and that we are connected to our colleagues in ways that can support and sustain us? When we attune with students and clients\, we are collaborating with them as they learn to become the experts on their own mind-body’s needs. We will talk about the skills of attunement\, collaboration\, and co-creation and practice ways to develop those abilities. Throughout this session\, we will nourish our bodies and calm our minds with self-care practices that can also be used with the precious beings we serve. Includes an experiential component. \nClick for 2021 Speakers \nRecommended reading/listening/viewing Amy Weintraub\, Yoga for Depression and Yoga Skills for Therapists\, LifeForce Yoga to Beat the Blues—Levels 1 & 2 (DVD)\, and LifeForce Yoga® CD Series; Tami Simon\, (Ed.)\, Darkness Before Dawn: Redefining the Journey Through Depression. \nThis program is open to everyone; it may be of specific interest to yoga teachers\, bodyworkers\, and healthcare professionals. \nNB: The workshop fulfills the prerequisite for the LifeForce Yoga Practitioner Training. More info about Training and LFYP Certification here and here. \n\n  \n \nAmy Weintraub\, MFA\, ERYT-500\, C-IAYT\, YACEP\nAmy Weintraub\, MFA\, E-RYT 500\, YACEP\, C-IAYT\, is the founder of LifeForce Yoga® and a pioneer in the field of yoga and mental health.
