Drawing a Blank

As a writer, when I finish a literary project and send it out into the world, querying agents, I feel a familiar mix of fear and hope. I also face the blank page of uncertainty: What, if anything, do I write next? Whether you write or not, I think this feeling may be universal. A kind of, "What now?" or "How can I best serve?" When these questions arise, I proceed by taking the next right step: volunteering for service positions in my spiritual and twelve-step communities, staying connected with friends, and responding to family members who reach out, while respecting boundaries.
