Caring for Self
What is your responsibility to your Self?

Consider nourishing yourself by cultivating an organizing part who offers you time every morning to sit in silence and watch the birds at the feeder or reminds you to close your eyes and breathe consciously. Consider giving your manager part a bonus if they hang the “do not disturb” sign while you are working at your craft or your art and stand guard against even the most well-meaning intrusion. Remember to thank the loving part who gets you up from your desk to stretch or do push-ups or sing and dance. Try not to argue with the inner mommy part who makes sure you get to bed on time and refills your water glass.

Learn more about your own parts and how you can nurture them, recognizing that even if misguided, they want the best for you. When we bring Internal Family Systems (IFS) and LifeForce Yoga together, we remember our own true nature. We remember we are one with the ineffable loving presence for which there are a multitude of names—a presence that both IFS and Yoga call Self.

If you’d like to deepen your understanding of Self, parts, and the healing potential of this work, I invite you to join me for one of the upcoming offerings below.

I hope to see you.
